Lookin in all the wrong placesThis is one of my good pictures, I delete any others if they show any part of me other than my head. I am recently divorced, recently had a baby and recently joined the armed forces. When I had my son I gained 82lbs. and got stretch marks all the way around my waist, under my arms, and down the back and insides of my legs. I dont wear shorts, skirts, or any shirts that dont go past my hips anymore. I try not to smile with my teeth because through everything i started smoking, which i have recently decided to quit, and i have a gap between my two front teeth. My hair is usually up because it is the easiest when i have to run out the door. I want to try to get back out there and start dating and being social again but i find myself inverted because of how i look. on 03/13/07 |

Whatever you do don't stop smiling! You have a wonderful smile! Madonna has a gap between her teeth and she doesn't apologize for it. Smiling shows confidence which is the most attractive trait you can have, and if you keep reminding yourself how great you really are then you will begin to feel confident. The armed forces is also good as it allows you to focus on what your body can do rather than how it looks. As for dating my experience is that opportunities present themselves as soon as you stop looking, don't wait for a man to make you happy. Enjoy yourself now and men will find you.

The first thing you need to love yourself, no matter what anyone in your life has told you. Never let others define you, you define you. Please keep in mind that noone is perfect, no matter how hard they try to make people believe. More woman have stretch marks than you think. I myself have stretch marks "My war wounds of child bearing". But well worth it. I have stretch marks from gaining and losing weight. I also have a foot long scar on my stomach from a major surgery. These are things I can't control, how much I love myself and take pride in me is. Jodi
