A Reality CheckThis is one of the most recent photos of me (19 months ago) that show me in my true self. While looking for a photo to post here I realized I do not ever have my photo taken, mostly I think I am ashamed. I really started gaining weight before the birth of my daughter, but when I became pregnant I gained 25 pounds in one month, my doctor about fell off his rocker. After she was born though, I made a million and one excuses why I was too busy to lose weight no time to work out to busy working, nursing the baby, to tired. Now that my daughter is 19 months old I jumped on the scale one day just for kicks, it said 211 Pounds, when I met my husband 8 years ago I weighed 135 pounds, What Happened?? that is a tremendous amount of weight to gain, something just needs to change, I am ready and I have received my reality check!!! uploaded by on March 19, 2007 |
I am having a hard time losing weight, too after giving birth to my son whi is 6-months now. I don't know where to start, what to eat, what slimming pills is the most effective and that wont be harmful to my breastfeeding..things like that.. I would be very grateful if you can share how you lost weight.

I was 80 pounds overweight after the birth of my son, and it was very difficult for me after the birth, because I was 18, and not only a single mother, but also 80 pounds overweight. My son is two years old now, and I've lost 70 pounds. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself, having a baby takes alot out of a person, and your body needs time to get back to normal. I breastfed my baby until he was 12 months, and breastfeeding helps shed some of the pounds off. I just wanted to say that you and your baby are beautiful, and if I can lose my baby weight, then anyone can do it. God bless :)
