The story behind my cookie creation.....
One morning my husband was eating pancakes with maple syrup while I was browsing through the ivillage website. When I came across create your own Mrs. Fields cookie contest, I immediately thought of a maple flavored cookie recipe that reminded me of my favorite season - the "Fall". Of course a cookie would need more than just maple syrup so I decided to spice the recipe up with oatmeal and white chocolate chips. I am a frequent visitor of Vermont, the "Maple Syrup State", so maple reminds me of the beautiful fall foliage in the mountains of Vermont. The oatmeal reminds me of eating a warm breakfast on a cool fall morning, and the white chocolate chips reminds me of the snow capped mountains on the ski slopes in Vermont.
So that is the story behind my cookie creation. I hope you enjoy Jodi's "Maple Oatmeal White Chocolate Chip Cookies." I am 39 weeks pregnant, so I am dedicating this cookie to my daughter-to-be, Madison, and of course to my loving husband, Keith.
