Sugar Cookies

These cookies are like the ones that I grew up on.While growing up with 9 brothers and sisters,a midwest Catholic family my parents took a trip once a year by them selves. There was one elderly lady Miss Givens that came to stay with us.We all loved her so much. She always had a smile and was so gentle soft spoken that she made you want to be good. When my mother would bring her to the house she would have these cookies. They were the most wonderful cookies I ever ate. When our children were young I would make them for them. For their birthdays they wanted me to make a pizza cookie to take to school. And for other parties I was always asked to bring the cookies. Now on daughter is married and the other is getting married in Aug.I dont make them to often.I did however just make some two weeks and take them to my new son inlaws office for them to eat. They only made to my son in law and his office partner ate 2 dozen by them selves. And asked when I was making more to bring?

Nothing pairs better with a glass of ice-cold milk than a sugar cookie, whether big and fluffy or rolled, cut and sprinkled with colored sugar. Upload your photo, add a short recipe and story and send your post to family and friends.
