Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip

I love to work in the kitchen trying new recipes. My kitchen is the hub of our family and always has been. The girls have always helped me mixing, cooking and cleaning since they were old enough to stand on a stool. Now they have their own family and they are carrying on the tradition of working in the kitchen together. Good Family time. I also love chocolate and peanut butter. One evening I just wanted something different. So I decided I would bake some cookies but didn't want the plain chocolate chip cookies I usually make. I decided to change the recipe somewhat. This is what I came up with.

Bobbie's Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

2 1/2 sticks of Margarine (room temperature)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
3 cups Pillsbury flour
1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa
6 oz. Reeses's Peanut Butter chips
6 oz. Hersheys semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (Opt.)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat margarine, sugars and eggs until creamy. Add 3 cup flour, 1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. soda. Mix well. Add Nuts, chocoalte chips and Peanut Butter chips. Mix well. Drop by tablespoon onto cookie sheet and bake for 14 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes then transfer to cooling rack. (I use a stoneware cookie sheet as it cooks more evenly.) Pour a glass of ice cold milk and enjoy!
