Take a walk on the wild side! The FUNKY MONKEY is a cookie made up of Peanut Butter and banana with white chips. It is an untamed twist on one of Mrs. Fields classics. This cookie is a great way to celebrate 30 years of great memories and tasty cookies that Mrs. Fields has brought to our household, which is an event to go wild for!

FUNKY MONKEY

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/4 cups flour, sift or stir before measuring
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 mashed banana
1 egg
2 cups of white chips

PREPARATION:
In a bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Beat together the softened butter, peanut butter, and sugars. Beat in eggs, mashed banana and vanilla. Gradually beat in the flour mixture. After all is mixed add chips and stir. With a tablespoon drop batter 3 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Using a dinner fork lightly flatten each cookie. Bake at 375 degrees F until for about 10 to 12 minutes or golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for a minute and move to cooling rack. Makes about 4 dozen peanut butter banana cookies.
