Mocha Nut Scotch Balls

1 cup butter softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup walnuts
1t vanilla
2t instant coffee
1/4 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 t salt
1cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
confectionary sugar

cream butter and sugar with a spoon. disolve instant coffee in vanilla. add other ingredients, except confectionary sugar. roll into a ball and chill for 1/2 hour. take a rounded teaspoons of dough and roll into a ball. bake on an ungreased cookie sheet - 325 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. when cool sift contectionary sugar on top

I got this recipe form a friend. It was her mother's recipe. I've made it for several years now at Christmas for cookie swaps. I am constantly getting asked for the recipe because the cookies are soooo delicious.
