Ooey Gooey Crunchy Cookies

In my family I'm known for my cookies-huge amounts of them during the holidays and family celebrations. I occasionally take them into work-everyone says how good they are. They must not be too bad because they only last a few minutes! But I really enjoy trying out new ideas- for cookies and other cooking and baking.

2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, softened
3/4 cup pure cane sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla
2 lg. eggs
6-7.06 oz. bar white chocolate, chopped (should make about 2 cups)
1 cup hazelnuts, chopped and toasted
white sparkling sugar, for decoration

Preheat oven to 375F. In a small mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the margarine, cane sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and eggs. Thoroughly blend in flour mixture. Stir in white chocolate pieces and nuts, till thoroughly combined. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Sprinkle a little sparkling sugar on top of each one. Bake 8-9 minutes, or until light brown. Remove from oven and let cool about 2 minutes before removing to cooling racks. Makes about 48 cookies (depending on how much dough you eat!!).
