Swedish Ginger Cookie

Swedish Ginger Cookie

Swedish Ginger Cookie

2 1/4 C. Flour
2 teaspoon of baking soda
1 t. Ground Cloves
1 t. Ginger
1 t. Cinnamon
1 t. Salt
3/4 C. Butter
1 C. Sugar
1 large egg
1/4 Cup of Molassas

Sift the flour, soda, cloves, ginger, cinnamon and salt together and set aside. Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the egg and mix. Mix in the Molassas. Gradually add the flour mixture into the butter mixture until it is all mixed together. Roll into balls and then roll in sugar. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 9-10 minutes. When the cookies are cooled I like to drizzle melted white chocolate across the top.

I came across this recipe over 10 years ago in a newspaper. I thought they sounded different so I began making them. I've had people begging for them every since. They are the perfect combination of spices, saltiness and sweetness. I began drizzling the white chocolate over them about a year ago and it is the perfect finishing touch to the melody of flavors in this cookie. I am known for these cookies and often have neighbors and friends calling with cravings. I've gotten my neighbor through 2 pregnancies with my cookies. I've never met a person who has tried these cookies and not fallen in love with them! I know that this cookie would be the perfect addition to your wonderful array of Mrs. Field's Cookies. The perfect fall cookie. The perfect combination of flavors that satisfies everyone.
