here we have 2 of our 8 trees that are throughout our house during the holidays that are decorated with victorian balls, handmade stockings, hats and pillows and topped with silver angels. the staircase is lined with presents and draped with lighted garland that has crystal garland draped from that. to top it off, i have added silver bows.

my husband always wanted to hang a tree upside down. so here is on of our 8 trees in our home. this one is from our den, known as the ny themed room and the tree is decorated like an american flag.

Our 2006 tree was hung with ornaments in the shape of cats (I have a large collection of "Jellicle Cats," among others) and blue and silver balls... And it has the new LED "old-fashioned look" lights.

Two plaques in harmonious colors decorate the double doors of Providence Hall House. On a backing of white pine and boxwood, lemons, golden delicious apples, yarrow, and sprays of oats with small Japanese black pine cones enliven these arrangements. Small fruit accents used on the roping above the door, wreaths on the windows, and roping on the railings lend a festive air to this lovely house.

The Regency Tree was designed to reflect the elegance of the furnishings and architectural details at the Williamsburg Inn. It is trimmed with handcrafted ornaments, made especially for the tree, that recall elements of the Regency period.

This Noah's Ark tree at the Moody House is decorated with pairs of animals, nuts, teasels, and golden sleigh bells tied with red string. Tiny white lights, red candles, a wooden "cranberry" chain, and pieces of yarrow brighten the tree. Colonial Williamsburg reproduction toys and a Noah's Ark made by the author surround the base.

Stockings look best when clustered en masse, mixed and matched. Consider adding one or two containing small toys and gifts to be donated to charity -- a great lesson for kids about the true spirit of Christmas.
