Mix & Match

This photo shows our formal dining table set for a small dinner gathering. I've mixed & matched two Lenox patterns. When I was first married, I couldn't afford complete sets of both my year round pattern and my Christmas pattern. So I bought fewer place settings of both and mixed & matched. We'll soon celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and although I now have complete sets of 12 of both patterns, I still mix & match. I grew to prefer the "look" and when I decide to go with just the Christmas pattern, I'm often asked "why".
